Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ page). Below, I have tried to answer the most common questions visitors to this Web site may have. Q: Does your ‘No Fix - No Fee’ policy mean that I don’t have to pay you if you can’t fix my computer on your first visit?

A: No. It means that if I can’t find out what the problem is or I don’t know how to fix the problem, then there will be no charge. If I know what needs to be done, but a return visit is needed to complete the repair (eg. a component has failed and needs replacing) or you decide not to to go ahead with the work, because it will cost too much, then I will expect to be paid for the time it took to diagnose the problem.

Q: How quickly can you build me a new computer?

A: Once your payment has been processed (i.e. your cheque has cleared), I can normally have it built and installed within 7 days. Delays occur most often when a customer wants a specific component, which is out of stock with the suppliers.

Q: How much do you charge?

A: I charge £30.00 per hour. There is no extra call-out fee and there is no charge for mileage, as long as you are in Northamptonshire. There will, of course, be additional costs when components have to be replaced.

Q: How quickly can you repair my computer?

A: I try to get to you within 24 hours of your call. However, as I am a one-man operation, I work on a ‘first come - first served’ basis. I will attempt to complete the repair on my first visit, but sometimes a return booking is needed to fit new components.
